Our Why
Norah’s Hope 321 is dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of Down syndrome. We believe that life is enriched by differences among us, including an extra chromosome! We celebrate those differences in our own family and in the world at large.
I was 13 weeks pregnant with our daughter, Norah, when we found out she had a greater than 99% likelihood of being born with Down syndrome. After Norah was born, a karyotype confirmed her diagnosis, thus beginning our journey with our beautiful daughter and her diagnosis of Down syndrome.
Norah is a bright and warm light in a sometimes dark and cold world. She makes all of our days better. Norah’s Hope 321 aims to share the joy of Down syndrome so that others also may embrace the hope that we have found.
Our Family
We live in Durham, North Carolina and are part of a supportive and loving Down syndrome community. Norah is the youngest of four in our blended family, and she is unconditionally adored by her three older brothers, parents, grandparents, friends, and teachers. Our life is better because of her.
